Sarah Engels tricks him with an April Fool’s joke
Sarah Engels pranked her ex-husband Pietro Lombardi.

Sarah Engels, her husband Julian and their son Alessio have fooled Pietro Lombardi with an April Fool’s joke.
Pietro Lombardi (29) fell for an April Fool’s joke by his ex-wife Sarah Engels (29), her husband Julian (28) and son Alessio (6). “We got him right. I didn’t think it would work so well,” says Engels in her Instagram story. Alessio asked her and her husband what an April Fool’s joke was. They then demonstrated it to the six-year-old at the expense of Pietro Lombardi. Together, the three of them came up with a story that Alessio supposedly experienced at school.
“We still have something to clarify,” Sarah Engels wrote to Pietro Lombardi in her Instagram story. She posted a screenshot of a chat history between her and her ex-husband. A photo shows a 500-euro bill in the school case of their son Alessio. “What were you thinking about? You can’t be serious,” Engels’ messages to Lombardi read.

Then you can see the singer talking to Pietro Lombardi on the phone. At school, some children asked Alessio for his dad’s autograph cards, she tells him. Alessio replied that he was not allowed to give out the tickets for free, but only for money. His father instructed him to do this. A child then stole a 500 euro note from his parents.
Sarah Lombardi has to hold back her laughter in between, while Lombardi becomes increasingly angry. “He almost jumped through my phone,” she says afterwards.
“You get it back”
Finally, Sarah Engels clears up the joke and everyone bursts out laughing. “My heart stopped,” Pietro Lombardi can be heard saying on the phone. In the meantime, the singer can laugh at the prank and quit in his Instagram story but a rematch: “Sarah, Julian, you’re getting it back so hard, I swear. You won’t expect it, but it’s all coming back.”
Sarah Engels was married to Pietro Lombardi from 2013 to 2019. The two have their son Alessio. In May 2021, the singer then married footballer Julian Engels. In December of that year, the two became parents to their daughter Solea.
