Pietro Lombardi, Dieter Bohlen and Katja Krasavice release a song

New version of Modern Talking song
Dieter Bohlen marries Pietro Lombardi and Katja Krasavice in priestly robes

Together with Pietro Lombardi and Katja Krasavice, Dieter Bohlen has re-recorded his Modern Talking song “You’re my Heart, You’re my Soul”.

Katja Krasavice wears a beaded wedding dress with bright pink hair, Pietro Lombardi wears a dark suit and sneakers. And then there is Dieter Bohlen in a priest’s robe. No, that’s not a fever dream, but the new version of the Modern Talking hit “You’re my Heart, You’re my Soul”, which the three recorded as a German-language hit version.

The short clip is the solution to a riddle. Because a few days ago Lombardi had posted a photo of his hand putting a ring on a woman’s hand. “If people knew … congratulations, just engaged,” Jungle King Filip Pavlovic commented on the picture, fueling the rumor mill even more. Then on Saturday the next hint. Lombardi published a photo of himself and Krasavice at the “altar”, a flower arch. “This feeling is new to both of us,” he wrote, captioning the photo with a red heart.

So now the solution: Lombardi and Krasavice did not get married, but reinterpreted an old classic. For this they got the pop titan, Dieter Bohlen, on their side. Lombardi has had a close friendship with him since his DSDS victory in 2011. And so Bohlen acts in the video for “You’re my Heart, You’re my Soul” as a priest in a black robe with a bling-bling necklace around his neck.

“You’re my Heart, You’re my Soul” reinterpreted

“It’s finally out. Our song will be released on Thursday, May 5th at 11:59 p.m.,” writes Lombardi under the video clip, which Bohlen and Krasavice also shared.

“You’re my Heart, You’re my Soul” was the first single by Modern Talking, the music duo consisting of Dieter Bohlen and Thomas Anders. The song stayed at number one in the German charts for six weeks in 1985.
