On the ninth day of the 77th Cannes Film Festival, the red carpet welcomed the cast of the film “The Count of Monte Cristo” under a radiant sky as well as many other actors in a tender and supportive atmosphere.

Mainstream cinema was in the spotlight this Wednesday, May 22 on the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival. Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de La Patellière, directors of the comedy First name and co-writers of Dad or Mom and of The Three Musketeers: Mylady, presented to the public of the Grand Théâtre Lumière the count of Monte Cristo. This adaptation of the novel by Alexandre Dumas is anchored in the tradition of swashbuckling films, a genre not really in vogue on the Croisette, but very popular with French spectators.

The film crew shared the spotlight with the cast ofA little something extra directed by the actor Artus. This comedy, which has already won over three and a half million people in France, is performed by a majority of actors and actresses with disabilities. The actors celebrated the success of the film in a joyful and explosive atmosphere.

Evening dresses and tuxedos?  Anaïs Demoustier and Pierre Niney deviated slightly from the traditional dress code of the festival.  The actress of "Count of Monte Cristo" showed up on the red carpet in a suit and bow tie while her playing partner walked up the steps without a shirt.
