Marina Picasso, granddaughter of renowned painter and sculptor Pablo Picasso, said she and her son Florian will continue to launch an NFT collection that showcases the artist’s work. Digital collectibles have caused family controversy as some members disagreed with the initiative.

Earlier this year, Picasso’s grandson Florian entered the NFT with the launch of some of the painter’s famous art collections. It launched 1,000 NFT tokens in collaboration with musician John Legend, but shortly after. Some family members also oppose the project.

The NFT collection, titled “Man and the Beat,” consists of five limited edition sets of 200 NFT each, which capture Picasso’s 20th century art through traditional and digital formats. The price of one collectible is $5,812.
