The Munich photographer Isolde Ohlbaum receives the Wilhelm-Hausenstein-Honor of the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts, endowed with 5000 euros, of which she has been an honorary member since this year. “In decades of work, Isolde Ohlbaum has compiled a literary history in author portraits that is unique in Europe,” the statement reads; her portraits showed “the true, unadulterated face of literature”. the public award ceremony takes place on Monday, October 10 (7 p.m., admission free) in the Academy rooms in the Munich Residence; the eulogy will be held by the writer Michael Krüger.
