Being Allgäu is a way of life. Even non-Allgäu residents have known that for a long time. Inspector Kluftinger, the idiosyncratic series hero of the Allgäu author duo Klüpfel and Kobr, has a large share in this. It is known that the region may even have been the cradle of upright walking, since the bones of the great ape Udo were presented four years ago – he lived near Pfronten 11.6 million years ago.
