Pharma – Bayer invests in US business – Economy

Bayer plans to spend $1 billion this year researching and developing new drugs in the United States. The head of Bayer’s pharmaceutical business in North and South America, Sebastian Guth, said the company wants to double its sales in the US by the end of this decade already increased by around 50 percent in the past three years and intends to increase this by a further 75 percent by 2030. In the future, Bayer wants to sell the drugs it has developed independently in the United States instead of entering into partnerships with US companies, Guth said.
