Petition of the RN against “the massive reception of refugees”

The National Rally (RN) launched a petition to say “no to the massive reception of Afghan refugees”, after the Taliban came to power in Kabul. Under the title “Afghanistan: no to a new migratory highway”, this petition launched on the party’s website ensures that “what matters to us first and foremost is the protection of our compatriots”.

“We are fully aware of the human tragedies and the obvious distress of some of the legitimate refugees. But the right of asylum must not continue to be, as it is now, the Trojan horse of massive, uncontrolled and imposed immigration, of Islamism, and in some cases of terrorism, as it was case with certain attackers of the attacks of November 13, 2015 ”, adds the text.

Third French plane in Paris

The party also deplores that government spokesman Gabriel Attal “confirmed (…) that France would continue to welcome mass immigration that we are no longer able to assume or assimilate”. Gabriel Attal said on Wednesday that “France will welcome, as every year, several thousand Afghans”.

While the mayors of several cities, mainly on the left or environmentalists, have announced their intention to welcome refugees fleeing the Taliban, the RN considers that it is “to put their fellow citizens at obvious risk”. “For more than ten years, wars have unfortunately also served as a moral pretext to force Western countries to turn a blind eye to illegal immigration,” adds the text.

A third French plane landed in Paris on Thursday evening with some 200 people on board brought back from Kabul via the United Arab Emirates, as part of the airlift put in place since the Taliban took power in Afghanistan.
