Man United legend Peter Schmeichel attacks Real Madrid after reaching the Champions League final and sees the success as undeserved.
After late comeback of Los Blancos there was not only praise for the team of coach Carlo Ancelotti, who set a new coaching record with his fifth participation in the final. Ironically, goalkeeper legend Peter Schmeichel expressed clear criticism of the Spaniards.
“Real Madrid don’t have the right to be in the final. They were by far the worse team in both games,” the 58-year-old TV pundit told CBS Sports.
“The first chance was the first goal in the 90th minute, the second goal was the second chance, and the third goal was the third shot on goal.”
Schmeichel told the crowd at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu that Real Madrid was still successful: “ManCity were in full control”, but the stadium was the twelfth man. “The whole place was on fire, it was just amazing.” Man City “I’m a little sorry,” said the Dane.
