“Perra’s Party Service” at Harry Klein – Munich

What distinguishes a good party? Lots of drinks, selected guests, maybe a suitable ambience, decoration, motto? But one thing is certain: the right music. As is well known, tastes differ. If you want to appeal to a broad audience, you need a diverse line-up. Or book an all-round carefree package, like the “Perras Party Service”.

Since July 2022, MRTI, Louis EMP, Manuel Loewe and Leon Haller have been hosting the monthly event series “Perras” at Harry Klein. Having met in the club and on social media, the four DJs are driven by a common vision: “A colorful, euphoric party as a counter-movement to the very fast, dark techno, which is currently the trend in the clubs,” says MRTI.

This is also reflected in their bookings. The DJs invite one or a main act to every Perras party. They want to bring artists to their events “who are not yet well known in Munich,” says MRTI. In recent months, Massimiliano Pagliara, resident at Berghain, and Audrey Danza, known from the Geneva club Motel Campo, have been part of the line-up in recent months.

This Saturday Amaliah will be our guest. The artist works as a DJ and producer in London and has “been on the Perra’s wish list for a very long time”. After she started DJing in small bars and clubs in the British capital in 2018, Amaliah soon founded her own party collective: “Borne Fruits”, which now supports underground talents from the UK as a label.

The DJ herself is now known beyond the British national borders. She performed in Bilbao last weekend before playing at Harry Klein this Saturday – supported by the evening’s hostess and hosts.

Let’s start with MRTI. The “female energy” of the Perras opens the evening with colourful, housy sounds. It is quite possible that she will give the audience a musical foretaste of the summer before they replace Leon Haller and Manuel Loewe with a B2B set. Then it’s time to heat up for the highlight of the evening: Amaliah, who bounces back and forth between house, techno, progressive and percussive in her sets, challenges the audience without overtaxing them and thus fits in perfectly with the Perras.

Louis EMP closes the event by bringing together the many musical facets of the party once again. That’s what defines the Perras: diversity in music and in the line-up, always colourful, always euphoric. “The goal is to transport Harry Klein’s queerness on Wednesdays into the weekends,” says Louis EMP.
