After the draw against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon (2-2), Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has praised Reds manager Jürgen Klopp. The Spanish technician, who enjoyed the spectacle offered during this Premier League shock, praised the work of his German counterpart and made an appointment with him for a dinner at the end of their careers.
“He makes me a better manager… his teams are positive, aggressive and they want to attack. I try to imitate him. We’re not friends, we’re not having dinner together, we’ll have dinner one day at the Hall of Fame, I have his phone number but I’m not calling him. I have a lot of respect for him and he knows that next Saturday we will try to beat him.”explained Guardiola after the meeting. The two managers will face off again on Saturday in the FA Cup semi-finals.
