At this year’s Olivier Awards, a photographer comments on her appearance. The “Ted Lasso” actress doesn’t hesitate and counters. She is now being celebrated for this on the Internet.

The British actress Hannah Waddingham (“Ted Lasso”) has received praise for blatantly reprimanding a photographer for his behavior. As presenter of the Olivier Awards, she posed for photographers in front of the Royal Albert Hall in London, reported the British news agency PA.

In a video that made the rounds on the X platform (formerly Twitter), she can be seen suddenly saying: “Oh my God, you would never say that to a man.” The other person’s statement cannot be heard, but Waddingham called for them to behave better or they would be gone straight away. “Just don’t say, ‘Show your leg.’ No.”

Waddingham then walked away and said, “Have some decency,” PA reported. The British broadcaster BBC, Sky News and newspapers such as the “Times” and the “Guardian” also reported on it.

Waddingham is known for her role as Rebecca Welton in the series Ted Lasso, in which she plays the owner of a London football club. She has a lot of stage experience herself, has played in musicals and hosted the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool, England, last year. Under the video posted on X, some praised her reaction with comments like “So proud of Hannah, good for her.”
