Megastar Taylor Swift is currently causing a sensation in Australia with her acclaimed “The Eras Tour”. The head of government has also gone among the Swifties – but a storm causes chaos.

Half of Australia seems to be due to the pop superstar’s gigantic “The Eras Tour”. Taylor Swift seems completely out of her mind right now. Now Prime Minister Anthony Albanese (60) has also shown himself to be a Swiftie – i.e. a fan. The politician told Australian media that he had bought a concert ticket for one of the four sold-out mega shows at Sydney’s Accor Stadium.

He admitted to FoxFM that he would probably not be the most famous person there at the event in his home country. “Sydney, like Melbourne last week, is in a frenzy over Tay Tay,” he said. “Tay Tay” is one of Swift’s many nicknames.

However, the first show, which was planned for Friday evening, was not a good star. About 90 minutes before the start there was such a severe storm that the uncovered parts of the stadium had to be evacuated. Due to fears of thunderstorms with severe lightning, the organizers announced that the start of the concert would have to be postponed.

More than 80,000 fans got tickets, which cost up to 1,200 Australian dollars (730 euros) for the most expensive seats. A total of four concerts are planned in Sydney until Monday.

After three spectacular shows in Melbourne, Swift took a break for a few days and also mingled with the crowd in Sydney. Most recently, she visited an Italian restaurant in the Surry Hills district with a friend without prior notice. Crowds of fans then gathered in front of the bar to catch a glimpse of the musician. The 34-year-old was also spotted at the zoo with her boyfriend, American football player Travis Kelce.

The US artist has been touring since March 2023. In the summer she will also be coming to Germany for some – already sold out – dates. With her “Eras” tour, Swift attracts millions of fans worldwide and breaks records everywhere.
