Opportunities to engage with international art from the turn of the millennium far from a big city are rare. But in the Penzberg Campendonk Museum this is just possible. André Butzer, Silvie Fleury, Günther Förg, Philip Guston, Albert Oehlen, Gert & Uwe Tobias, Lily van der Stokker, Huma Bhabha, Tal R, Jonathan Meese – the list of artists in the current special show makes it clear that museum director Annette Vogel has been there for many years the New York Serge Sabarsky Gallery and organized exhibitions in New York and Europe.
