Old age knows no mercy. The wrinkles are getting deeper, the bald head says hello and even the penis is getting smaller. Why a man’s best piece shrinks with age and what men can do about it – an overview.

Fibrosis is a huge factor that can lead to penis shortening.”

Age-related diseases

Clogged blood vessels, known as atherosclerosis, can also be a factor in the penis not being as large as it used to be. Most commonly, however, a decrease in penis length is associated with weight gain. If more fatty tissue is built up, this causes the visible part of the penis to appear smaller. How to prevent a man from losing penis length?

“You lose girth down below, and you lose length too if you use it infrequently,” explains the “Dickdoc” Zimmerman. That means sex helps. If erectile problems are increasing, this can be an indication that fibrosis is progressing and should be treated. Sport should also help against penis shrinkage. On the one hand because, according to the urologist Birkhahn, exercise helps to increase the testosterone level, on the other hand because it reduces the fat content in the body and the aforementioned “buried penis” can be prevented.
