Almost half a million doses of the corona drug Paxlovid, which the government purchased in 2022, are in storage untouched. The shelf life will soon expire – there is a risk of damage amounting to many millions of euros.
In Germany, several hundred thousand doses of the Covid-19 drug Paxlovid may have to be destroyed if they are not used. The Federal Ministry of Health confirmed in response to an SZ request that there are currently 427,000 doses of the preparation still in stock. Their shelf life expires at the end of January or the end of February.
