From the catwalk to the TV series: The former “GNTM” candidate Pauline Afaja is now an integral part of the “Good Times, Bad Times” team.

The RTL series “Good Times, Bad Times” is once again growing. Pauline Afaja (33) takes on the role of Flora “Flo” Köstner, an ex-affair of Jonas Seefeld (played by Felix van Deventer, 27). Afaja is particularly popular with attentive television viewers thanks to her participation in the ProSieben casting show “Germany’s next top model” is a household name. In 2010, the native of Friedrichshafen came sixth there. Previously, as a 19-year-old, she received a “GNTM” wildcard from Heidi on the ZDF show “Wetten, dass…?” as part of a bet in her hometown Klum (50) presented.

However, the world of acting is not entirely new for Afaja: she already played the role of “Flo” in previous episodes of “GZSZ”. However, the liaison with Jonas was interrupted due to Jonas’ accident and the resulting paraplegia. Now “Flo”, who is the head of a security company in her professional life, returns. Afaja herself describes her character as “tough, warm and confident”.

After her “GNTM” appearance, the Berliner by choice took on a number of advertising deals and was part of campaigns for Samsung, Lexus, BMW, Verivox and Tchibo, among others. At the same time, she pushed forward her acting career and has already appeared in several short films and in the music video for the Peter Maffay song “When Heaven Cries”. She also appeared in the ZDF film “So loud you can”. Regarding her new “GZSZ” engagement, Afaja told the broadcaster: “I find it exciting to be part of Germany’s most famous series and I’m excited to see what lies ahead.”

Pauline Afaja has this in common with her role as Flora Köstner

The actress also identified similarities with her role. She also has a “certain calmness in everyday life”. And there is another parallel: “Although I wasn’t a former professional boxer like she was, I also boxed regularly about five years ago.” She lived in Hamburg for many years and trained there in the well-known “Ritze”, where the Klitschko brothers and other boxing professionals have also honed their skills.

RTL has not yet revealed exactly when the first episode with Afaja will be broadcast. “Good Times, Bad Times” runs Monday to Friday at 7:40 p.m. on RTL and one week in advance on RTL+. On April 15th, the early evening series, which has been produced since 1992, is celebrating a big anniversary: It will be the 8,000th. Episode aired.
