Patricia Kelly, who had to survive a severe corona course, thanked the hospital staff with a serenade.

In October of this year, Patricia Kelly (52) was infected with the corona virus for the second time and despite a double vaccination. With the second illness, the singer, who belongs to the risk group due to a previous illness, was so bad that she had to be hospitalized for several days. Around two months later, Kelly thanked the staff of the Covid ward of the Solingen Bethanien Hospital with gifts and a serenade.

Photos of the action are the “Image”– Newspaper before, Kelly describes the employees as their “lifesavers, the real heroes of our time”. The little thank-you concert was “the first time since the illness” that Kelly was able to sing in public again – “I only owe that to these great people”. She was accompanied by her sons Alexander (20) and Iggi (18), as further photos show.

“The next day I could hardly breathe”

The musician had at the time how badly she was doing in October of this year communicated from the hospital on Instagram: She had “gone through hell for three days”, she wrote about a picture of herself in the sick bed.

In an interview with RTL, Kelly revealed after her releasehow bad things were for them. It all started with “fever, cough and body aches,” explains Kelly. You then did a quick test, which was positive. “And then the next day, I could hardly breathe and I had a really high fever,” she said. She told her husband that she was “really scared” and he took her to the hospital.
