Patricia Blanco moves into the “Celebrity Big Brother” house. She caused a stir with these TV appearances and headlines about her private life.
This format was still missing from the list: Patricia Blanco (52) is a candidate in the new season of “Celebrity Big Brother” (from November 20th, 8:15 p.m. on Sat.1). The TV star has a lot of reality experience and has already appeared in numerous shows. But Blanco has caused a stir in the past not only with her television appearances, but also with her private life.
Family strife and turbulent love life
Patricia Blanco was born in 1971 in Unterhaching, Bavaria. She is the daughter of the pop singer Roberto Blanco (86) and his ex-wife Mireille, to whom he was married from 1964 to 2012. The trained hotel manager wanted to follow her father into show business and initially tried her hand at singing. There were also occasional TV appearances, such as in 2009 when she took part in the normal season of “Big Brother”. After her parents separated, she had a year-long argument with her famous father that continues to this day.
In 2015, Patricia Blanco moved to the RTL jungle camp and ended up in tenth place. From the emigrant show “Goodbye Germany!” Among other things, she was accompanied as she gave up her life in the south of France after separating from millionaire Björn Lefnaer and sought her fortune in Mallorca. In 2018 she moved to the “Sommerhaus der Stars” with her then partner Nico Gollnick, and together they made it to fourth place. Her other reality TV experiences include the nude dating show “Adam sucht Eva” and the canceled celebrity game show “Celebrities under Palmen”.
“The last two years have not been easy for me, but I am proud that I have taken this path and achieved my goal through hard work and discipline,” said Blanco, who underwent gastric bypass surgery and was on a diet, in the year 2016 on social media. Her maximum weight was 118 kg, “today I am 60 kg lighter and much happier with myself!” This was followed by some cosmetic surgery, which also contributed to the visual change.
Last September, Blanco appeared in the RTLzwei celebrity documentary series “VIPs only! Around the world with the jet set” and was accompanied by cameras during the separation phase from her ex-fiancé Andreas Ellermann (58). “I love reality formats because you can show yourself as you are,” Blanco explained at the start of the show in an interview with the news agency spot on news.
About the end of the relationship, she explained that it was always sad to separate “and I was and am very sad about how this separation was carried out. Looking back, I should have seen the warning signs sooner,” said Blanco. The couple separated in May after four years, after which reports emerged that Ellermann claimed his ex-partner didn’t want to leave his house. Blanco said in the interview that she was very horrified by how she was treated. “I can’t move into a hotel from now on after four years. With two dogs, I need a decent apartment. That just takes time.”
“Optical and inner metamorphosis”
Today she’s doing well and she’s happy, “because this man and his environment don’t suit me,” she continued. “I’m working on my independence and it’s fun. I’m looking forward to the new tasks and projects that come my way.” This now also includes participation in “Celebrity Big Brother”, which is apparently just one TV project among others. Blanco explained that her dream would be to have her own show. “Where I can help people to free themselves from life crises, I now know how to do it…”
In the Sat.1 interview on “Celebrity Big Brother”, Blanco emphasized that in the last few years she had “not only changed completely visually” but had also undergone “a major inner metamorphosis”. “Many people have extreme prejudices against me and I look forward to turning them into the opposite. I will show how I deal with conflicts and arguments today.” The viewer will see “a reinvented Patricia Blanco”. “My temperament will always be a part of me and of course I will use it to ensure the atmosphere and the best entertainment.”
