During his attempted arrest, a suspected sex offender jumped through a first floor window in Passau and escaped for the time being. The sexual assault between the suspect and a 34-year-old woman is said to have occurred on Thursday night, the police announced on Friday. When the officers drove to the couple’s shared apartment the next day with an arrest warrant, the 24-year-old suspect quickly jumped out of the window. An initial search using a helicopter was unsuccessful. According to the police, there is initially no danger to the population.
