Pasing Arcaden: Young men steal jewelry displays with silver chains – Munich

Three young men known to the police stole jewelry from a jewelry store in the Pasing Arcaden on Tuesday afternoon. They were so clumsy that a witness alerted the police and they were able to arrest the three suspects.

The suspected main perpetrator is a 16-year-old without a permanent residence in Germany. In an unobserved moment, he took an entire display with more than 40 silver chains from the jewelry store. The police put the value of the loot at several thousand euros.

Shortly afterwards, a resident observed three young men hiding a jewelry display in a bush in a nearby courtyard and distributing silver chains among themselves. The alerted officers met three old acquaintances – in addition to the 16-year-old, a 19-year-old and a 24-year-old.

In addition to the silver chains, the suspected thieves also had T-shirts in their original packaging and high-priced perfumes, also from shops in the Pasing shopping center. To make matters worse, one of the young men had a pocket knife with him, which makes the crime a “theft with weapons.” An arrest warrant was issued against the 16-year-old because he was a flight risk.
