Parsberg in Upper Palatinate: Two dead and one injured after violent crime – Bavaria

A 48-year-old woman was killed and a 26-year-old man was seriously injured in a violent crime in Upper Palatinate on Thursday night. According to police, the suspected perpetrator was later found dead in a forest. The 47-year-old man is said to have stabbed the woman and the 26-year-old and fled. “We are currently assuming a relationship act,” said police spokeswoman Corinna Wild.

The details would now have to be determined by the police. According to previous investigations, the suspect entered the woman’s apartment in Parsberg (Neumarkt district) shortly before midnight on Wednesday evening. He is then said to have attacked the 48-year-old and the 26-year-old. The exact murder weapon and motive were initially unclear.

The police were informed immediately after the crime. “As a result, several patrol crews and emergency services personnel were at the scene within a very short time,” reported the police spokeswoman. But any help came too late for the woman; she died at the scene. The 26-year-old was taken to a hospital.

Extensive searches were initiated that night. Ultimately, the suspect’s body was discovered near the crime scene. The dead man was found in a forest, Wild explained. It was initially unclear whether the man killed himself. The criminal police should now clarify this. The exact relationship between the three people still needs to be determined, said the police spokeswoman.
