Paris 2024: Olympic Games ticket sales begin

The 2024 Paris Olympics are fast approaching. And now the time has come for sports fans too: ticket sales have started. But the procedure is not that simple.

tickets.paris2024.org – sports fans from all over the world can now apply here for the so-called “pack sur mesure”, i.e. the large Olympic ticket packages. For two months until January 31st. It doesn’t matter when you register, whether on the first day or on the last day. But it will be a big lottery: Because such a ticket package for three competitions can only be put together according to the desired sport and available places, who will be drawn.

Collect points for the ticket chance

The organizing committee is promoting registration in the “Club Paris 2024”. The one million member mark has already been exceeded. There you can collect points. One kilometer of jogging earns 10 points, one kilometer of swimming even 50. Other sports can be billed by the minute – 45 minutes of badminton – 45 points. You have to report this via an app.

Club members get priority tickets. The first four sales days with the largest selection are reserved for them – provided they have been drawn. Sports fans can hardly wait: “I’ve been waiting impatiently,” says one fan. “Besides, it’s in Paris in 2024 – quite extraordinary!”

For another fan it’s clear: “I’m registering to be able to buy as many tickets as possible because I know it’s very, very difficult to get seats for events like this.” This fan knows that too: “If I don’t get any tickets, I watch the competitions on TV. But it’s better to be there for the atmosphere.”

Individual tickets will be sold from May or for the Paralympic Games from autumn 2023. Paris wants affordable games: One million tickets go on sale for 24 euros. And almost half of the tickets are sold for a maximum of 50 euros.
