Panini stickers for up to 10,000 euros: Collectors’ pictures are worth a fortune

New trading cards are available for little money. Sticker collections with 100 stickers are available for around 20 euros.
But collectors have long since discovered trading cards and albums for themselves. Up to five-figure sums are called for old treasures that collectors are after.
Panin stickers and albums are in great demand on international auction sites. This is also proven by current offers on auction platforms such as ebay: For the sticker from 2002 with the motif “Cristiano Ronaldo” – depending on the condition – between 5,000 and 10,000 euros are required. The motif “Lionel Messi” from 2004 is similarly highly traded.
1970 marks the year in which Panini sticker albums for a soccer world championship were released for the first time. Complete albums are rare and therefore sought after by collectors – especially if they are in good condition! Value: around € 2,000 to € 4,000.
The popular Panini stickers appeared for the first time in Germany for the 1974 World Cup in Munich, making this issue the first and at the same time one of the most valuable in Germany. For a complete booklet with 400 cards in good condition, collectors often spend up to € 1,000!
Collecting could be worth it. Because even less rare cards can achieve prices in the three- to four-digit range – as long as they are available in complete sets.
However, not every panini menu is a little treasure. Of course, the better the condition and the more sought-after the sticker, the higher the prices that can be achieved.
A provider from Great Britain offers assistance in determining the value of stickers and albums on its website. The status of a trading card is indicated in “Beckett-Grading_service”, “BGS” for short. A high BGS value can be an additional selling point, especially on auction platforms.
Panini albums, even if they are empty, should always be treated well. Because it may very well be that years later collectors are looking for exactly these issues.
It is certainly worthwhile to thoroughly sift through the old stocks again.
