Panel discussion on art and AI in Munich – Munich

Within the exciting exhibition “ResetNOW!” of the artist association in the Haus der Kunst (until 21 Sep.) on the connection between aesthetics and technology, an event will take place on Saturday, 9 September, at which scientists, artists, collectors and curators will discuss current developments in new media at the interface between art, technology and science. The event begins at 11 a.m. with a lecture by art historian and technology-based art expert, Annette Doms. It provides an overview of the changes within technology-based art and an outlook on artistic creativity in the age of artificial intelligence (AI).

The artists Ursula Damm, Peggy Meinfelder and Tamiko Thiel as well as the collector Annette Stadler, Dietlinde Behncke from Ludwigspace and Silke Schmidt from XR-HUB Bayern will then discuss how to deal with digital art. At 12.30 p.m. there will be an artist talk with Barbara Herold, who is known for her work with augmented reality. At 1 p.m., guests can take a deep breath during the performance “Oskar S breathes out” by Notburga Karl and Ursula Rogg, before curators Kirstin Brunner and Regina Hellwig-Schmidt guide through the exhibition at 2:30 p.m.
