A 74-year-old from the western Lake Constance district received a package containing several grams of marijuana and hashish instead of the kitchen appliance he had ordered. The two packages were probably mixed up during shipping, the police said on Friday.

A spokesman did not want to say where exactly the incident occurred and what kitchen appliance was involved “for reasons of investigation tactics”.

The officials have not yet been able to determine who was supposed to receive the drugs and whether the actual recipient was now enjoying a new kitchen appliance. In the current hustle and bustle surrounding “Black Friday”, retailers are heavily advertising the sale of all kinds of bargains. It’s probably not surprising that sometimes a package is delivered incorrectly.
