Again concerns about Ozzy Osbourne’s health: he has to cancel a festival date in October due to ongoing problems.

Ozzy Osbourne’s big stage comeback has been postponed. As the former Black Sabbath frontman announced via Instagram, he had to cancel his planned appearance at the Power Trip Festival in the USA in early October. This was a “painful experience” for him, according to the “Godfather of Metal”. The reason for the withdrawal: his ailing health.

“My original plan was to return to the stage in the summer of 2024,” explains Osbourne. But when the offer for the festival appearance in autumn 2023 came, he “went forward too optimistically”. Unfortunately, his body tells him that he is “simply not ready yet”: “I’m far too proud to do the first show in five years half-heartedly.”

It is not yet clear who will replace him at the Power Trip Festival. But Ozzy Osbourne speaks of his “personal friends”: “I can promise you won’t be disappointed.” In March, Osbourne canceled all upcoming dates for his UK and European tour due to his injured spine and postponed the dates until next year.

Ozzy Osbourne has suffered from health problems for decades

At the time he announced that although his voice was fine, his body was still too weak to perform on stage after many treatments and therapies. The “Prince of Darkness” has suffered from serious health problems for decades. His Parkinson’s disease was diagnosed back in the 1990s, which is why he sometimes suffers from tremors and speech disorders.

Osbourne had to interrupt his farewell tour, which began in 2018, several times due to health problems. Since then he has not been on stage. In 2020 he contracted pneumonia, followed by operations on his back in 2021 and 2022. Osbourne actually announced in February 2023 that he would never be able to tour again due to his health problems. A few weeks later, however, the turnaround followed and he announced new concerts, which the fans are still waiting for to this day.
