The word “double boom” is difficult to translate into Italian, but it doesn’t have to be. The Italians have understood the force of the measures and means that the German government has decided to reduce the drama of high energy prices, even without the term “double boom”. And one can say: the protective shield of more than 200 billion euros from the Germans for German households and companies was not very well received. In Italy, to put it bluntly, he is considered to be lacking in solidarity with countries that can’t just throw away 200 billion euros quickly – countries like highly indebted Italy, for example. That is not at all in the European sense of community.
