Rain is to be expected in the southeast of Germany and on the North Sea. In which areas can you expect midsummer sunshine at the weekend?

After a thunderstorm on Friday, the German Weather Service (DWD) expects A gradual retreat of the showery precipitation in south-eastern Germany over the weekend. There they could sometimes be long-lasting and strong, said a DWD meteorologist on Friday.

In general, a continuous rain situation seems to be imminent in the southeast. Occasional showers or short thunderstorms can also be expected in the North Sea area. In the other areas of Germany, on the other hand, the weather is calming down and there are one or the other sunny section.

You start to sweat less than on the previous days: the maximum values ​​on Saturday are only 20 to 25 degrees, only in the east and south-east the thermometer rises again to 28 degrees. On Sunday, the maximum temperatures will be a fresh 18 to 24 degrees. The prospects for the beginning of the week are then rather damp again: According to the DWD, it is mostly overcast in the south-east with persistent rain. Otherwise the weather is expected to be changeable with a few showers or brief thunderstorms. The maximum values ​​are only 18 to 22 degrees.
