She is coming to the Munich Film Festival

Hollywood splendor on the Isar: global star Kate Winslet is coming to the Munich Film Festival this summer to present her latest work.
A special star guest in the Bavarian capital: Oscar winner Kate Winslet (48) will honor the Munich Film Festival with a visit this summer, as the festival announced in a press release on May 8th. The star of films like “Titanic” and series like “Mare of Easttown” presents his latest work “The Photographer” (original title: “Lee”) at the 41st edition of the Munich Film Festival. The film is about the legendary war photographer Lee Miller (1907-1977). Winslet also receives the CineMerit Award.
Biopic about a pioneer of war photography
This year the Munich Film Festival will take place from June 28th to July 7th. Kate Winslet’s film “The Photographer” will be shown there as a European premiere. The global star also receives the CineMerit Award for outstanding artistic achievements at the film festival. “We are very pleased that Kate Winslet is celebrating the European premiere with us in Munich. ‘The Photographer’ is a wonderfully intense character portrait,” explain festival director Christoph Gröner and artistic co-director Julia Weigl in a joint statement.
In addition to the main actress Winslet, “The Photographer” also stars Oscar winner Marion Cotillard (48), the Oscar-nominated US actress Andrea Riseborough (42) as well as comedians and actors Andy Samberg (“Brooklyn 99”, 45) and Alex Skarsgård (“Succession” , 47) in front of the camera.
In addition to Winslet, the legendary US actress Jessica Lange (75) will also receive a CineMerit Award at the Munich Film Festival this year. Previous winners included Ralph Fiennes (61), Emma Thompson (65) and Michael Caine (91).
