Emma Stone’s dress bursts – she blames Ryan Gosling

It was her second Oscar: Emma Stone accepted her award on Sunday evening in a torn dress. She blamed a fellow actor for this.
The newly crowned woman walks with careful steps Oscar winner Emma Stone takes to the stage in front of journalists. “It still feels like everything is turning around a little,” says the actress behind the scenes. She holds her Oscar trophy with both hands. She was completely shocked and very surprised to win the Oscar for Best Actress – and in a dress that burst open.
Stone had already announced the wardrobe malfunction on stage at the Dolby Theater in front of a global audience of millions. “Don’t look at the back of my dress,” she said at the end of her acceptance speech – in a light green, fitted, off-the-shoulder Louis Vuitton gown.

The burst seam has already been repaired. She was quickly sewn back into her dress, the actress revealed backstage – and with a grin she blamed Ryan Gosling for the breakdown. She was so excited about Gosling’s performance of the song “I’m Just Ken” that it probably happened. The Hollywood star sang the song from the film “Barbie” with dozens of dancing men during the Oscar gala and thrilled the audience.

Stone won the best actress trophy for her performance in the grotesque comedy “Poor Things.” It is her second Oscar after 2017, back then for “La La Land”. Lily Gladstone (“Killers of the Flower Moon”) was considered the favorite for the award. Sandra Hülser (“Anatomy of a Case”), Carey Mulligan (“Maestro”) and Annette Bening (“Nyad”) were also nominated.
