Christopher Nolan’s film “Oppenheimer” is taking shape. In addition to Matt Damon and Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh and Rami Malek are also there.
Christopher Nolan’s (51) new film after “Tenet” is taking shape. Florence Pugh (25), Rami Malek (40) and Benny Safdie (35) will be according to “Hollywood Reporter” Part of the cast of “Oppenheimer”, a thriller about the US physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer and the development of the atomic bomb in World War II. Stars like Matt Damon (51) and Robert Downey Jr. (56) are already on board, the title role is played by Nolan’s regular actor Cillian Murphy (45, “Dunkirk”, “Batman Begins”).
Florence Pugh, who last appeared in “Black Widow” and “Hawkeye” in the Marvel Universe, plays Oppenheimer’s on-off girlfriend, Jean Tatlock. Because of her membership in the US Communist Party, Tatlock was one reason why Oppenheimer was viewed with skepticism by the American secret service.
Oscar winner Rami Malek, who last acted as James Bond’s opponent in “No Time to Die”, embodies an unspecified scientist in “Oppenheimer”.
Benny Safdie, who, in addition to his acting career, forms the directing duo Safdie Brothers with his brother Josh (37) (“Uncut Gems”), is Oppenheimer’s Hungarian colleague Edward Teller.
Damon, Downey and Blunt are already there
