The ÖRR and I didn’t fit a leaf between us. By ÖRR I mean public service broadcasting. That’s what I affectionately called him. I always defended him vehemently when it said something like: “I only watch Netflix, Amazon and so on. ARD and ZDF can be closed!” Then I protested and listed them, all the good films, series, magazines, documentaries. And of course praised the balanced daily news broadcasters, without which this country would be different.
