Oh, what thrilling concerts we have experienced here. Enoch zu Guttenberg loved opening the Herrenchiemsee Festival that he had created in the Münster on the Fraueninsel. With music by Bach, a performance of the St. John Passion, for example, will be forever remembered for its impassioned spirituality. Guttenberg is dead, died unexpectedly in 2018, but his festival lives on, Kent Nagano is the patron. And the beauty stays the same.
