Alexander Kumptner has to say “Open the fridge!” because of a corona disease. leaving. Colleague Alexander Herrmann replaces the TV chef.
After only two episodes, Alexander Kumptner (38) has to start the new show “Open the fridge!” leaving. The TV chef has been infected with the corona virus. Alexander Herrmann (50) will step in for the Viennese from April 21. At the side of the chef and “The Taste” finalist Hanna Reder (29), Hermann competes in a duel with two professional chefs on Sat.1.
Johann Lafer (64) and Anthony Sarpong (40) are the challengers of the newly formed host duo in the third episode. “Alexander Herrmann will still look around”, says Lafer according to a message from Sat.1 “He’ll throw away his jacket later!”. Herrmann counters: “Dear Johann, dear Anthony, we’re actually unbeatable. But it’s nice that you’re there when you lose.”
After two episodes it is a tie
At “Open the fridge!” two cooking duos have to compete against each other. The highlight: they have to help themselves from a refrigerator with ingredients that they did not know before. In the first episode, Kumptner and Reder prevailed against Ali Güngörmüs (45) and Richard Rauch (36). In the second and last episode with Kumptner, the hosts lost to challengers Viktoria Fuchs (32) and Max Strohe (40).
