In August 2009, the then federal government set a major goal: by 2020, one million electric vehicles should be rolling on Germany. Now the time has come: With the new registrations in July, the million mark for plug-in hybrids and purely electric vehicles has been reached, said the Ministry of Transport, Environment and Economics this week. However, commercial vehicles and buses are also included in the statistics.
