On the way on the Continental Divide Trail: “The Great Divide” by Tim Voors – Travel

Of course it’s not a walk in the park. And even with the term multi-day hike, this adventure is extremely inadequately described. Anyone who walks the entire Continental Divide Trail, from the Canadian to the Mexican border or vice versa along the American watershed in the Rocky Mountains, usually spends half a year on the trail. It took Tim Voors four and a half months to cover the almost 5,000 kilometers through the USA with just 20 days of rest. The longest daily stage: 93 kilometers. He wore out five pairs of shoes along the way.
