He was a war child, born in February 1943. He chose July 14th, the day of the storming of the Bastille, as the founding date for his publishing house in West Berlin in 1977. He had been hanging around the West Berlin left for a few years and had already written books there; the idea of ”intellectual weapons” was echoed in the name “The Arsenal – Publishing House for Culture and Politics”. But Peter Moses-Krause was a very peaceful person and soon the strollers, feature writers, storytellers and essayists became the focus of his program.
