Mirco Nontschew’s early death shocked many. Michael “Bully” Herbig has not yet processed the loss.

In his own words, the death of his comedy colleague Mirco Nontschew pulled the rug from under Michael “Bully” Herbig.

“I was busy in the editing room when we got the message. I was busy with it, »said the 53-year-old to the broadcaster RTL. “I think we cut the first two episodes. And I went out, drove home and called him. I did not reach him and spoke to Mirco on the mailbox. I wanted to tell him how great he is again and how amazing and that he doesn’t have to worry about it, it’s going to be great.”

Herbig added thoughtfully: “Then he didn’t call back. And the weekend after that, four or five days later, I got the message. That has already pulled the ground out from under your feet. It wasn’t easy for the whole team either.”

According to the comedian, the loss has not yet been processed. “It will also take quite a while because you are still busy with it and are confronted with it again and again. I’m just glad we decided to show it that way. I think it would have been a very big mistake not to do it or to cut it out. He wouldn’t have wanted that either.”

The death of Nonchev (“RTL Saturday Night”) shook many people in December last year. He died at the age of 52. The new season of the comedy series “LOL – Last One Laughing” for Amazon Prime Video was already produced with him.
