On the death of actress Margit Saad: an extraordinary film career – culture

Post-war German cinema had many female stars – but hardly anyone had such a career as Margit Saad. The actress was born in Munich in 1929. She graduated from high school shortly after the war in 1947. She then began an apprenticeship as a ceramics craftswoman, but broke off the training to attend the then newly founded (and now legendary) Munich Otto Falckenberg School to study acting.
