On a football field, Emmanuel Macron exchanges with autistic children

The integration of disability through sport was Tuesday on the agenda of the Head of State. Emmanuel Macron went to meet autistic children on a football field in Clamart, in the Hauts-de-Seine, just before flying to Beijing.

For an hour, the tenant of the Elysée observed the children in training, and exchanged with parents and educators. Young people, aged 9 to 12, play football in a mixed team, with little friends without autistic disorders, a unique experience that allows everyone to go a long way towards the other.

“Is it really you? »

” How are you ? Are you a goalkeeper? Where do you live ? “Launched the president to children just as intrigued by the cameras and microphones of journalists as by the head of state. “Hi Emmanuel Macron! “, challenged a budding footballer. “Is it really you? exclaimed another.

To the president, parents told of their obstacle course to find schools suitable for their children. But they also expressed their satisfaction at seeing them evolve in an open sporting environment.

The president wants to occupy the field despite the social crisis

In the midst of a pension crisis, Emmanuel Macron was making his second field trip in a month. The one on the theme of water Thursday at Lake Serre-Ponçon (Hautes-Alpes) had given rise to demonstrations and arrests. The situation was much calmer on Tuesday near the Stade de la Plaine in Clamart.

The Head of State is committed to the subject of autism. In January, he had already met the editorial staff of the Papotinmade up of about fifty journalists with autism spectrum disorders, on France 2. The “Onze de Légende” initiative, in which 18 young autistic and non-autistic people take part, was also the subject of a documentary which will be broadcast unencrypted on Saturday at 7 p.m. on Canal+.
