OM’s line-up against PSG: Abardonado takes everyone on the wrong foot

The interim coach of OM made changes to his eleven compared to the team which played at Ajax.

Olympique de Marseille will try to create a sensation this Sunday by beating PSG at home, at the end of the 6th day of Ligue 1. The task promises to be difficult for the Provençaux, but they will seek to rely on what they did well in Amsterdam three days ago.

Abardonado still trusts Ounahi

The team that will challenge the French champion, however, will not be the same as the one that shone in the Europa League. Jacques Abardonado, the team’s coach, chose to innovate, notably by changing the tactical system. He returned to the 3-5-2, so dear to Igor Tudor.

This modification of the scheme benefits Leonardo Balerdi, who finds a place in the axis of defense. He will be accompanied by Chancel Mbemba and Samuel Gigot, the permanent back duo.

To occupy the positions of the pistons, the interim coach placed his trust in Renan Lodi and Jonathan Clauss, the two usual full-backs.

Vitinha back in the eleven

In the midfield, Geoffrey Kondogbia is absent because he feels discomfort in his adductors. His defection is the business of Azeddine Ounahi, who will continue a new tenure as relay runner. Valentin Rongier and Jordan Veretout are also present in midfield.

As for the attack, it is made up of the pair Vitinha – Pierre Emerick Aubameyang. The Portuguese returns to an entry role, while Iliman Ndiaye returns to the bench.

OM’s starting lineup:

Paul Lopez; Balerdi, Gigot, Mbemba; Rongier, Veretout, Ounahi, Clauss, Renan Lodi; Aubameyang, Vitinha.
