Omikron has Bavaria firmly under control: an average of more than 27,000 new infections every day, overwhelmed when determining the actual incidence and testing capacities at the limit. Nevertheless, the signs are pointing to relaxation. In Free State, 10,000 fans will soon be able to cheer for their team in the stadium again, and Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) also wants to allow more visitors in theaters and cinemas. Meanwhile, the Federal Government’s Expert Council warns that some hospitals could soon be overcrowded again. So how bad is the situation really?
