Omar Sy confirms that writing for season 3 has started

As audiences barely catch their breath after the airing of Season 2 of Lupine, Netflix intends to strike while the iron is hot. A third season is in preparation and Omar Sy has also confirmed to
Entertainment Weekly that writing had begun. The actor even agreed to address the avenues envisaged for the future of his character and the series.

For starters, the next season should bring new protagonists and, why not, new accomplices for the burglar gentleman. “When you read the books, Lupine has a lot of accomplices. But in the series he only has one, Benjamin. However, he needs people, that’s why he hires them, as with Philippe Courbet. […] And I think it will be more interesting to have one day, maybe, a big cast with a lot of people. Because the point is that by being just the brain, you can’t do it all on your own, you need others. It is also one of his talents, to rally people. It was really cool to play with that. I think that’s a good aspect of Lupine. “

Where will season 3 take place?

Another big question, where will the third season of Lupine take place? At the end of season 2, and without revealing its outcome, the character of Omar Sy decides to disappear and distance himself from his family. Which could mean that the next season will not necessarily take place in the Parisian setting which contributes so much to the charm of the first two seasons. Obviously, the star did not say a word about the decor of his next adventures. “I know exactly where he’s going to go, but I’ll let you think about it,” he laughed.

Perhaps the clue is in the books of Maurice Leblanc who sent his gentleman burglar outside the capital and even allowed him to meet an English detective by the name of Herlock Sholmes. This is enough to wait while waiting for season 3.
