Olympic Games: Friedrich wins gold in the two-man bobsleigh

First Olympic triple success in bobsleigh history: Friedrich from Saxony is Olympic champion in two-man bobsleigh. With the brakeman Margis, he prevailed in Yanqing ahead of his teammates Lochner and Hafer.

Francesco Friedrich is Olympic champion in two-man bobsleigh for the second time. With brakeman Thorsten Margis, the 31-year-old won his third Olympic gold overall, ahead of his teammates Johannes Lochner and Christoph Hafer.

After four Olympic victories in luge and two gold medals in skeleton, it was Germany’s seventh triumph in the Yanqing ice track.
