Olivier Véran retains his place in government. The Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament and Democratic Life was largely re-elected in the 1st constituency of Isère, with 57.7% of the vote. Facing him, the Nupes candidate, Salomé Robin, was credited with 42.3% of the vote.
The former Minister of Health had won 40.50% of the votes in the first round, against 36.86% for his 19-year-old competitor. A small gap which had thwarted the forecasts, which gave Olivier Véran the winner by an overwhelming majority.
