In the Netflix series “The Crown” she embodied the Queen for two seasons. Now Olivia Colman is moving close to the monarch herself – and earning a million pounds in the process.

Oscar winner Olivia Colman is getting a new home. The 48-year-old previously lived with her husband, actor and author Ed Sinclair, in a terraced house in the Peckham district of London. But in the future, the two will live more secluded: the couple has bought a spacious country estate in Norfolk. The building is a listed building and parts of it date back to the 17th century.

The actress is now moving into the immediate vicinity of Queen Elizabeth II. The British Queen has a country residence in Sandringham. This spatial proximity is quite spicy: Colman played the queen in the Netflix series “The Crown” for two seasons. And, according to fans and critics, they did an excellent job. At the same time, the actress has repeatedly emphasized in interviews how afraid she is of the Queen’s reaction to her portrayal.

However, “The Crown” wasn’t the only time Olivia Colman impersonated an English queen. In the movie “The Favorite – Intrigue and Madness” she played Queen Anne, who sat on the throne from 1702 to 1714. Colman won the 2019 Academy Award for Best Actress for her role.

The Colman/Sinclair couple are paying a lot for their new country residence: the impressive building costs £1.3 million, as reported by the “Daily Mail”. This corresponds to around 1.5 million euros. Nevertheless, the two make more than a million euros profit from the move – because they were able to sell their London house for 2.4 million pounds.

Olivia Colman and Ed Sinclair have been married since 2001 and the couple have three children together, sons Finn, 17, and Hall, 15, and a daughter, born in 2015, whose name the couple has not released. “I would like to go out again without anyone recognizing me,” the actress once revealed in an interview. That should be no problem in Norfolk.
