Oliver Pötzsch has once again succeeded in mixing historical facts and fiction excellently in his new historical crime novel. In June 2021, the Munich author, famous for his Hangman’s Daughter saga, presented the first volume of his series about the young police inspector Leopold von Herzfeldt and the gravedigger from the Vienna Central Cemetery. Volume 2 followed in April 2022. Now the third series title is available, “The Gravedigger and the Murder in the Crypt” (Ullstein Verlag).
