“Few symptoms”: Olaf Scholz infected with coronavirus

Chancellor Olaf Scholz has been infected with the coronavirus. The SPD politician said he would initially work from his desk.

Now the Chancellor has also been hit: Olaf Scholz was infected with the Sars-Cov-2 pathogen. “This is clearly not a surprise that I’m happy about. My current Covid-19 tests show two lines,” the SPD politician said on Monday morning on

Scholz was infected with the coronavirus in September 2022 and went into isolation in the Berlin Chancellery at the time. There is a small living area for the Chancellor in the government headquarters (read about this in star: Official apartment in the Chancellery: Olaf Scholz conducts government business from here during his corona illness). It is not known whether Scholz is currently isolating at his official residence or in his Potsdam apartment.
