This principle fills the Käfer tent every year: celebrities offer a small glimpse into their (party) life – and get maximum attention thanks to the concentration. The Almauftrieb has been taking place on the first Sunday of the Oktoberfest for 25 years. Of course, the usual Oktoberfest celebrities came to the anniversary. In the picture: The ladies Kinga Mathe (runs a traditional costume label), Sandy Meyer-Wölden and Lilly Becker.

Désirée Nick has made headlines in recent weeks – not because of her well-known sharp remarks, but because she was photographed for the cover of Playboy at the age of 66. How did this affect her life? “I’ve never had it as easy to flirt as it is right now,” she tells the SZ reporter on the spot. At the Oktoberfest, she first celebrated with the LGBTIQ+ community in the Bräurosl and happily signed Playboy covers. Afterwards we went to the beetle tent to drive up to the alpine pastures.

Veterans of the show stage can also be found on the beer benches. Roberto Blanco, for example: here at the 25th anniversary of the Almauftrieb. He knows the host Michael Käfer from his childhood and was there in 1999 when the Almauftrieb was a real celebrity event for the first time. There always has to be a bit of fun.

Scooter frontman HP Baxxter (59) is like many other Oktoberfest visitors at the Munich Oktoberfest: He appreciates the beer. “I don’t usually drink beer, but a pint of beer like this is great.” Many celebrities use the event as a stage for themselves – but for Baxxter, who came to the Oktoberfest with his girlfriend, the student Sara, this is not important according to his own statements. It’s “always good to show off.” But: “Actually, I only go to the Oktoberfest to celebrate.”

The “Almauftrieb” in the Käfer tent was never actually intended to be a star event, as organizer Philip Greffenius emphasizes. “The idea back then was to create a cross-generational event,” he told the German Press Agency. “Back then everything was a little smaller.” Yes, yes, back then…

But even today only a fraction of the 1,000 guests are actually celebrities. “But of course they get the most attention.” It is not known what fraction of attention Giulia Siegel received.

Perhaps the most exciting couple of the hour for the tabloids: Verena Kerth and Marc Terenzi. Recently made headlines because of an argument in a Hamburg hotel. You can often see them smooching at the Oktoberfest. In the beetle tent, Terenzi grabbed the microphone and sang in front of the assembled celebrity team. Apparently the two stayed completely sober the whole evening, as various tabloid media report. Definitely a good idea.

Simone Thomalla is one of the celebrities who is regularly seen at the Oktoberfest. There’s a lot to report, like in 2015 – back then she was looking forward to a delicious Oktoberfest duck. Sometimes there is little news. Like this year. But she seems to be having fun. Anyway.

Monica Ivancan takes her collagen spray and her husband Christian Meier to the Oktoberfest. A spray like this is wonderful. Especially because it was super hot in the tent. Or you can just go outside the tent to cool down, have a bus and have photos taken. Then add a splash of collagen.
